Tooling Capabilities
Our ability to produce most tooling completely in house, at Young Manufacturing, can dramatically reduce lead times typically needed for new parts. We also can make quick repairs of your damaged or worn tooling to keep your production lines running smoothly. Our wire EDM and VMC capabilities allow us much more flexibility to accurately meet your critical requirements, dimensions and due dates.
EDM
Our submersible wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine) is capable of cutting (any conductive) material up to 10" thick. The maximum size in the horizontal plane is 15.5" (Y axis) x 23.5" (X axis).
VMC
We have 2 Haas VMC's (Vertical Machining Center). One, the VF-3 has a 20" x 40" cutting range with full 3D capabilities that allow us to create a wide variety of tooling for formed parts. The other Haas VMC has a larger cutting range with a maximum range of 20" x 50".
Tool Room
Our tool room is unmatched in the area, as well as a large part of the upper Midwest. We are not only capable of producing almost any kind of tooling, but we are able to design tooling in-house, also!
